With the high rate of illiteracy, is the moot point moot? I too get frustrated about the lack of gramatical knowledge(Currently looking for the superlative of the word welcome in a world in which 75% of the populace could not define a superlative.) But I am more frustrated by the lack of desire to improve. Why do we need to speak better(actual quote)? When are we going to use a vocabulary anyway(another one)? Terrifying.
Seriously, though, my big peeve is presidential--the fact that we have someone, with full access to the things that go bang, that pronounces it "new-cue-lar".
